Intercultural communication in professional activities is of key importance as the modern world is becoming increasingly globalised and business and working relationships often cross country and cultural boundaries. During the online class, students had the opportunity to gain experience in intercultural communication on a specific topic. This helped them become more open and tolerant of other cultures. Communication was in English which is nowadays a necessary skill that determines success in the modern professional environment. Communication skills in the context of intercultural interaction are part of the arsenal of so-called "soft skills", the skills that make future professionals more successful and competitive.

During the meeting the interactive online resources Wordwall and Padlet were used. The event was organised and held in preparation for a joint educational project.
