Master class "Residential real estate market: threats to the banking sector"
General Information
With the assistance of the Department of Banking, on March 20, 2024, a master class of Alyona Shmygel, teaching and research assistant of the Geneva School of Economics and Management, was held online for students of higher education of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, specialty 072 "Finance, banking, insurance and stock market" of the educational programs "Banking Business Management" and "Financial Intermediation". The event is devoted to topical issues of the functioning of the residential real estate market.
Students deepened their knowledge about the peculiarities of the functioning of the foreign and domestic mortgage market, its impact on the emergence of the financial crisis of 2008-2009, important tools for monitoring the housing market, risks of mortgage lending, as well as key aspects of its regulation by the central bank.
